The Shubenacadie Wildlife Park is one of Nova Scotia’s top tourist destinations and has attracted millions of visitors over the past 68 years. The 40-hectare park has enchanted Nova Scotians and visitors alike and provides a wide range of outdoor recreational and educational opportunities. About Our Opportunity Reporting directly to the Supervisor of Visitor Experience, the Head Nature Interpreter works with the Education Coordinator to actively plan, deliver, and evaluate interpretive programs and services such as Park tours, school programs, events, workshops. Head Nature Interpreter has significant retail duties including managing the gift shop inventory, as well as cleaning the Wetland Centre and grounds. The Head Nature Interpreter leads a team of Nature Interpreters who all have personal contact with thousands of visitors annually. The quality of each visitor’s experience depends on the interpreter’s interest, skill, and knowledge. The facility’s success and reputation are directly related to the interpreter’s abilities.
