As a member of the Sales and Engineering team, the Regional Product Manager is responsible for a CIP & Precast customer base within a geographic region. Responsibilities include the following: • Be an active participant of the Sales & Engineering team, responding to Company goals as defined by the VP of Sales & Engineering toward the success and development of LEWP. • The Regional Product Manager position reports to the National Product Manager (NPM). • As a primary function of this position, achieve regional sales tonnage and fiscal objectives. • Contribute regional sales information and recommendations to strategic plans; maximize regional sales perf ormance and profitability by clearly understanding and achieving company goals. • Ability to manage outside sales responsibilities effectively and efficiently, maintaining outside sales activity 55% as directed by NPM to meet customer and prospect call objec tives, within a defined territory. • Tracking of key activity and sales metrics, including account forecasting and trend management. • Contribute to achieving revenue goals by identifying new product opportunities while identifying challenges to growth. • Develop and maintain strong customer and specifier relationships, understanding their needs, and being proactive in sales development. • Represent LEWP with a visual and leadership presence in the industry which may include participation with approved associ ations, events, and committees. • Manage the RFQ lifecycle, as necessary, from inquiry to post sale follow up, to include entering of orders, managing sales efforts within CRM and maintaining regular outbound phone call follow up procedures. • Work closely wit h regional Roll & Hold accounts to manage the sales lifecycle and achieve sales objectives at acceptable inventory turns. • Attain a proficiency with engineering designs to include but not be limited to precast pipe, box culverts, and structural rebar conver sions for the CIP market. • Ability to perform inside sales responsibilities effectively and efficiently from a home office during non travel cycles. • Possess ability to interact and resolve problems in a timely and effective manner when necessary. • Successful lead procurement, prospecting, and closing sales of new business opportunities. • Driven to remain knowledgeable on current industry trends, engineering specifications and applications, market conditions along with departmental strategies, competi tors' strategies and key customer fluctuations. • Support all company safety policies and procedures. Qualifications: • Ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 5 years' experience in the reinforcing industry wi th product knowledge of structural steel. Direct WWR mesh experience preferred. • College degree preferred ideally with a civil engineering or similar discipline. • Demonstrated track record of sales success, result driven performance and the ability to effectively manage outside sales responsibilities. • Possess computer knowledge with all Microsoft Office Small Business applications, able to type with proficiency. Familiarity with CRM applications is important, experience with Salesforce prefer red. • Technology competent with all customary activity essentials such as email, online navigation, smartphones, laptops and other as deemed required. • Product Manager position involves support and sales travel in a defined geographic region. Ideal candidate will reside within region applied for or be willing to relocate. • A valid drivers' license and qualified to drive and be insured with company vehicle. • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to self - motivate and c apable of prioritizing work duties in an efficient manner. • Language skills with ability to read, analyze, interpret and communicate with the English language on all aspects of sales correspondence, RFQ's, prints and governmental regulatory documents is req uired. Ability communicate in other languages may be a benefit. • Physical demands of the position include but are not limited to the responsibilities and qualifications as described herein. Further candidates must be able to perform all in an environment o f extensive travel. Employee will be regularly required to sit, stand, and at times walk considerable distances; speak, hear. Will be required to use hands to finger, handle and reach.
