Assistant Housing Officer Garages & Parking – Cambridge Salary: £ 18.31 Per Hour Umbrella Full Time: Monday to Friday – 08:00am to 17:00pm Role Purpose: Delivering a range of comprehensive tenancy and estate management housing services to tenants, leaseholders and residents within a neighbourhood or residents of the temporary housing service and clients of housing support service. Responsibilities: Processing garage and parking applications Conducting site inspections and garage inspections Managing keys for garages Arranging and completing sign ups for garage and parking tenants Arranging and completing the end of garage/ parking tenancies Arranging payment plans with current tenants/ former tenants with arrears. Completing refunds where appropriate Assist with garage decants and developments. Assist with parking strategy across the city. Respond to customer inquiries. Lead on section 41 notices. Assist with new development sites with garages and parking. Responsible for the efficient and effective coordination of letting of void properties to achieve the annually set performance targets for reletting properties. Liaise with contractors to ensure that empty properties meet our client’s void specification within timescales and quality standards. To ensure new tenants receive assistance at the tenancy sign-up stage e. g. housing benefit applications. Responsible for the delivery of the management of individual tenancies, on a day-to-day basis. Within a defined neighbourhood and provide an efficient and a effective housing management service in compliance with our client’s legal obligations and corporate policies. Responsible for the prompt processing of garage applications and letting of void garages to ensure garage void timescales are kept to a minimum. Carry out inspections at the end of a garage tenancy and liaising with internal departments if needed, such as arranging for repairs to be completed or to arrange the clearance of items left in.
