Transport Booking Assistant – Shropshire Salary: £ 11.81 Per Hour Full Time: Monday to Friday – 09:00am to 17:00pm Roel Responsibilities: Responsible to demand responsive transport DRT team leader who is in turn responsible for the post holder’s health and safety, training and development. Responsible for the administration of flexible transport central bookings system that allows customers to book their journeys over the telephone. A key role in customer relations, ensuring a smooth booking experience for the customer and follow up liaison to understand and record passenger satisfaction, enabling us to learn from customer experiences. Expected to contribute to a range of projects and build relations with both internal and external partners to achieve specified outcomes but will not have direct authority over those involved. Handling bookings and enquiries via email and telephone, ensuring consistent customer service levels. Processing bookings using our online operating systems in accordance with procedures. Being the main point of contact for customers looking to book journeys or enquire about the service, providing advice on journey planning, ticket options and booking time slots. Liaising and coordinating with onsite staff such as DRT team leader, our client’s fleet department and drivers to ensure bookings are completed and enquires are answered. Processing payments over the telephone or registering concessionary travel cards from passengers ensuring their card covers the payment before travel. Responding promptly and professionally to feedback, comments and complaints relating to the flexible transport service. Follow up communications with passengers who use the service, whether they have booked over the telephone or via online APP to ensure that customers remain satisfied with the service.
