Job Description: We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. The Accounts Payable Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments, as well as maintaining strong relationships with vendors. Responsibilities: Process a high volume of accounts payable invoices accurately and efficiently Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents to ensure proper authorization and documentation Verify invoice details, including pricing, quantities, and terms, to ensure accuracy Code invoices to appropriate general ledger accounts and cost centers Obtain necessary approvals for payment processing in accordance with company policies Prepare and process payment runs, including checks, ACH transfers, and wire transfers Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies or issues in a timely manner Communicate with vendors regarding invoice status, payment inquiries, and other accounts payable-related matters Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor records, including contact information and payment terms Assist with month-end closing activities and provide support for audits as needed Contribute to process improvements and initiatives to streamline accounts payable processes and enhance efficiency Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred 2+ years of experience in accounts payable or related finance role Proficiency in accounting software, such as [specific software names], and Microsoft Excel Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reconciliation Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with vendors and internal stakeholders Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment Knowledge of accounting principles and practices Experience with process improvements and automation initiatives is a plus
