Overview Essential Function: This position drives all micro space planning, including Planograms, Visual Merchandising standards/execution, store support, CKB Web publishing, space automation/optimization, and planogram level analytics and performance measurements. This position drives the Planogram Set Timeline and related tasks, in partnership with the Floor Planning team, the Space Planning and Floor Planning Managers, and the Sr Director Merchandise Operations. The Space Planning Analyst supports initiatives including in-store collateral placement, improved customer experience in stores, visual merchandising standards across all POGs, and overarching project management for related work. This position reports into the office in Denton TX on Tuesdays and Wednesdays of each week and then works remote the rest of the work week. "At Sally Beauty Holdings, we find beauty in diversity. Primary Duties: 40%- Manage the creation and updates of all versions of planograms to ensure compliance with all applicable merchandising standards, product assortments, and inventory and sales goals. Planogram execution must be aligned with the overall space merchandising strategies of the organizations sales and inventory goals. Execute local, area and regional planogram creation and updates for all stores. 20%- Execute quality control measures for merchandise planograms, ensuring accuracy of sku assignments, compliance with strategic vision and/or corporate standards; emphasis on accuracy, attention to detail, and an inquisitive mindset. Maintain product data integrity for all items as it relates to planogram process. Partner to develop fixture needs to better utilize space constraints 15%- Support SBH sales, inventory and profit objectives as it relates to developing, analyzing, and maintaining micro space rules and guidelines down to POG space management rules, guidelines and standards. 10%- Provide deep analytical analysis using Space Planning and CKB (JDA), looking for opportunities to develop customer centric approaches to the merchandise planograms; consistently performs highly detailed work with accuracy and precision. Analyzes performance metrics, such as days of supply, margin, and sales and provide recommendations that identify and solve for potential opportunities to improve productivity of space to the Merchandising department 10%- Responsible for store support in regards to planograms; acts with a strong sense of urgency to anticipate customers needs; takes responsibility to finding lasting solutions to difficult problems. Act as a champion and advocate for the stores in collaboration with all departments. Knowledge, Skills Abilities: Indicate the minimum qualifications required to perform the job: work experience (including type of work and number of years required); education (including desired degree and field of study); specify certificate or license requirements. Bachelors degree in Merchandising, Visual Merchandising, Business or related field Strong command of JDA Space Planning and CKB software to create and report on space to sales, space-planning, and resulting in better product placement and shopper based decisions. At least 2 years of experience in JDA Space Planning and Category Management software. Knowledge of JDA Floor Planning is a bonus. 2-4 years of related work experience, including project management, retail operations, and visual merchandising. Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Suite including: Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word. Preferred Education, Experience, and/or Credentials: JDA certifications Experience in a tier 1 retailers development process for planograms and working through the entire line review process. Competencies / Attributes: Exceptional Analytical Skills and diligent about taking action based on findings must possess analytical and financial literacy aimed at ensuring our business intentions generate sustainable returns on investment. Ability to manage multiple projects and strong organizational skills is preferred. Strong attention to detail and sound problem solving skills - enjoy gathering and digging into data to identify opportunities and solve problems; ability to quickly come up with creative solutions to both technical and business process issues; not satisfied until a solution is found. Strong Presentation, Verbal and Written Communication Skills - must excel at communicating complex information in simple to understand yet actionable ways (words/numbers/pictures); must be proficient at communicating across all levels across the organization (including senior management). Ability to absorb technical information and translate into actionable results. Ability to make informed decisions quickly, based upon a combination of analysis, experience, wisdom and judgment. Flexible personality with the ability to deal with ambiguity and to think outside the box and provide a continuous flow of new ideas and process improvements. Perform other duties as required and assigned. Working Conditions /Physical Requirements The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting and training rooms, retail stores, and residences or commercial vehicles, e.g., use of safe work practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, observance of fire regulations and traffic signals, etc. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated. The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items such as papers, files, books, small parts; using a keyboard, driving an automobile, etc. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.
