About the Role: We are seeking a user-focused Frontend Engineer to play crucial role in our marketing team. Your main responsibility will be collaborating on the development, deployment, and maintenance of our marketing website, doc site, and interactive demos. You will be instrumental in creating engaging product demos that will showcase what is possible with OctoAI compute services. Your work will be seen at conferences, sales presentations, webinars, and other events to tell our product story to a diverse audience of founders and technical leaders. This role requires a strong understanding of modern frontend technologies, frameworks, and libraries, such as React, as well as the ability to create visually compelling and user-centric digital experiences that effectively convey our brand's message and product offerings to a highly technical buyer. Responsibilities: Participate in all phases of the development lifecycle, including conception, design, development, testing, and deployment of marketing websites and interactive demos. Transform UI/UX designs into fully functional web pages using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript ES6+, along with frameworks like React.js Develop and optimize user-facing features for maximum speed, scalability, and an optimal user experience. Utilize a user-centric approach to reduce bounce rates and ensure smooth interaction across various digital touch-points. Collaborate with marketing professionals to create and customize landing pages and web-based demos, ensuring alignment with SEO strategies and marketing campaigns. Customize CMS platforms like WordPress to meet marketing needs, including creating custom themes and plugins. Conduct rigorous testing using frameworks like Jest or Mocha to ensure the robustness and reliability of web assets. Engage in performance tuning, improvement, balancing, usability, and automation to enhance the user experience. Collaborate closely with back-end developers to maintain UI integrity throughout the development lifecycle. Ensure seamless integration between the marketing platform and backend systems through RESTful APIs or GraphQL. What we look for: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience. Minimum of 3-5 years of in-depth experience in front-end development, with at least 2 years of experience working with React.js. Previous experience in a marketing-focused web development role Strong grasp of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and popular libraries like Redux. Extensive experience with CSS pre-processors such as SASS or LESS. Experience with headless CMSs Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token. Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools like Webpack, Babel, and NPM. Proficient in version control systems like Git and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. Experience with marketing automation tools and A/B testing frameworks. Understanding of SEO principles and the ability to implement SEO-friendly websites. $113,000 - $150,000 a year Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our company's size and industry, and are one part of the total compensation package that also includes equity, benefits, and other opportunities at OctoML. In accordance with pay transparency laws, OctoML is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. Individual pay decisions are ultimately based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, geography, and balancing internal equity. This is a reasonable estimate of the current salary range. We expect most candidates to fall in the middle of the range. We also believe that your personal needs and preferences should be taken into consideration, so we allow some choice between equity and cash.
