What You Will Be Doing As our Sr. Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for providing oversight of MBO's Active Directory (AD) and Windows domain. This role supports and manages the company's Microsoft server infrastructure including hardware, operating system, networking, backup infrastructure, security, application-support, and desktop support for corporate and remote users. The right candidate will be passionate about providing great customer service and educating employees on best practices. In this role you will: Manage MBO ’s Active Directory/ADFS and DFS/Okta Maintain service-level and availability and upgrade path of all infrastructure services related to and contained in the Active Directory infrastructure Manage, maintain, and document Active Directory integrations using LDAP, Global Catalog, and Kerberos Support and manage enterprise backup and disaster recovery across multiple forests and domains Analyze, upgrade and maintain all facets of a large/enterprise Active Directory environment Direct hands-on experience in IAM (Identity and Access Management)/RBAC (Role-Based Initiatives) Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Security team activities leveraging best practices, administer group policies, make sure that the client follows industry standards, and continue to migrate the client’s AD into the cloud. Authentication methodologies and frameworks including Kerberos, SAML 2.0 and oAuth2.0 Manage Active Directory Federation Service, Single Sign On (SSO) Manage Windows server and workstation-based operating systems via Group Policy (GPO) and application of Local Security Policies Set up user, administrator and service accounts, tune system performance, install system wide software Triage complex firewall and routing issues Monitor the health and well-being of infrastructure pointing out weak points and opportunities Onsite support in our VA office for maintenance, meetings and ad-hoc requests What You Need to Stand Out Bachelor’s Degree in IT, CS, Information Systems, or a related field. 8+ years of IT, Systems Engineering experience Advanced-level Active Directory administration Working knowledge of Cisco Routers, and VoIP phones Proficiency in Internet protocols and standards Powershell Scripting knowledge is required as well as Python or JavaScript Experience with Monitoring tools. snmp monitoring tools, NewRelic, Zabbix, Syslogng, prtg preferred Experience with CDN / WAF solutions: Cloudflare, Akamai, Incapsula Strong knowledge of AD zone types as well as multi forest design and communications Working knowledge of Azure AD is essential, experience with AWS is a plus Excellent LDAP skills and knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot connectivity and search issues Knowledge of Linux and Unix and their integrations into active directory Excellent understanding and technical knowledge regarding core services including IPSEC, DNS, WINS, PKI, GPOs, replication, trusts, etc. Experience working in an audited environment (SOX, SOC, PCI, HIPAA, etc.) Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with employees. Comfortable working with remote users. Willing to be “on call” and provide night/weekend response for incidents or disruptive maintenance.
