Emergency Veterinary Technicians at Parkway Veterinary Emergency Clinic have the opportunity to earn between $19 - $25 an hour as well as assistance with relocation. Will you come F.I.G.H.T. with us?Responsibilities:Emergency Veterinary Technicians at Parkway Veterinary Emergency Clinic are responsible for:Emergency patient triage and careVenipunctureIV catheter placementObtaining radiographsRunning in-house diagnostic testingIV fluid therapySurgical assisting and post-operative careClient education and communicationSafe, low-stress pet restraintMaintaining hospital cleanliness as part of a teamRequirementsThe ideal candidate for our Emergency Veterinary Technician role must:have a minimum of 2 years of veterinary technician experience; technicians with certification are preferredhave the ability to adhere to the attendance policyhave any allergies to animals controllable through medicationbe able to lift 40 poundswilling to work long or irregular hours under pressure conditions to include overnight and weekends, and rotating all major holidayshave the ability to walk, bend, stand and reach constantly during a minimum 8-hour dayhave visual acuity sufficient to maintain accurate records, recognize people, and understand written directionshave the ability to speak and hear sufficiently to understand, give information in person and over the telephonehave fine motor skills adequate for nursing skills such as phlebotomy and utilizing hospital equipmentBenefitsThe Emergency Veterinary Technician role offers competitive benefits package for full-time team members includes:Health insurance benefit contribution (Medical, Dental & Vision)Paid Time OffRetirement Plan ( 401k)Optional supplemental insurance plansLong Term Disability InsuranceContinuing Education and development opportunitiesGenerous Pet discountPaid Holidays and Holiday incentive payCompany-provided uniformsby Jobble
