We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, pays meticulous attention to detail, and possesses a thorough understanding of trial procedures. Strong drafting skills for legal documents and the ability to negotiate settlements effectively are essential. Responsibilities:• Conduct initial consultations with clients, providing expert advice on legal matters' strengths and challenges.• Supervise and manage a caseload of litigation cases, ensuring steady progress towards resolution and keeping clients updated regularly.• Provide clear guidance and oversight to support staff like legal assistants and paralegals, ensuring accountability for delegated tasks.• Draft various legal documents including pleadings, motions, and necessary paperwork, and conduct thorough legal research as needed.• Represent clients in court hearings, skillfully arguing cases in Circuit and County Court with comprehensive knowledge of the trial process.• Meet a monthly revenue requirement instead of a billable hour quota. Qualifications:• The ideal candidate for the Commercial Litigation Attorney position in Vero Beach, FL, US should either be a solo practitioner currently or have a substantial caseload at a large law firm. They should be seeking increased autonomy and work-life balance.• Previous experience in litigation is a must for this role. While real estate and commercial litigation experience is preferred, it is not mandatory.• Salary will be determined based on experience and the portability of the candidate's book of business, but having a portable book of business is not a strict requirement.• Proficiency in handling cases from initiation to completion in both County and Circuit Court is essential for this role.• Direct experience working with clients, especially in a legal capacity, is highly valued.• The candidate will need to attend regular meetings with a Managing Attorney and Support Staff for case updates and departmental discussions.• Initially, the role will be in-office with a potential transition to a hybrid work setup, which is non-negotiable.
