Position Details: Title: Operations Manager Location: Broomfield, CO Shift: Day shift, typically M - F Compensation: Competitive base salary ($105k-$145k) depending on experience and qualifications plus annualized company bonus. Travel: None Position Description: The role of the Operations Manager is to provide a seamless operational environment to achieve the company's 100% TSB goals. The operations manager leads the operative team and sets the standard for safety, culture, and operational excellence. This position reports to the Plant/Business Manager. Key Attributes --- Strong systemic mindset and problem-solving skills --- Strong communication skills (verbal and written) --- Teamwork approach with total associate workforce --- Ability to succeed under pressure and meet deadlines Essential Functions: --- Supervise and direct all manufacturing and activities related to crane and crane -related system production o Enforce employee discipline, productivity, safety, integrity, and efficiency. o Drive honesty and integrity on the shop floor, data collection, and accuracy of data. o Conduct performance reviews, evaluations, and disciplinary actions as required/directed. --- Schedule, coordinate, and communicate all aspects of the operations schedule o Create and maintain an accurate weekly production schedule and coordinate weekly production meetings o Identify production schedule risks and minimize potential impacts o Maintain documentation for changes to project scope, cost, and schedule y o Ensure ERP and related system data accuracy to provide accurate forecasting and operational data o Promote and track corporate manufacturing and operational metrics --- Manage operational aspects of business as they relate to business goals and 100% TSB operational goals o Drive profitability and productivity goals as set by the company, budget, and business manager o Ensure timely and profitable completion of WIP o Track and maintain inventory o Implement and maintain continuous improvement initiatives --- Maintain and oversee quality processes according to current ISO standards. o Participate in internal and external quality audits as necessary. o Update and maintain work instructions and ISO documents. --- Coordinate with all aspects of business to ensure a seamless operational environment o Provide feedback before, during, and after on projects to help align labor hours, cost, and over -time, for future quoting accuracies. o Strong interpersonal skills, ability to build strong relationships, and trust with teams. o Interface with and support all other departments as needed o Function in a teamwork atmosphere for all endeavors. o Perform necessary customer presentations/shop tours during customer visits to the facility as required. Qualifications: --- BS/BA Business/Business Administration, Manufacturing; Masters preferred --- 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment; 15 preferred --- 5 years of experience managing direct reports --- Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical components --- Logistics and operations experience, required --- Quality control and continuous improvement experience --- Familiarity with production workflow and throughput
