About the Family and Social Services Administration: The Division of Family Resources (DFR) within the Family and Social Services Administration (FSSA) is responsible for establishing eligibility for Medicaid, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program and Temporary Assistance for Needy Families benefits. The division also manages the timely and accurate delivery of SNAP and TANF benefits. DFR also provides employment and training services to some SNAP and TANF recipients. The division's overarching focus is the support and preservation of families by emphasizing self:sufficiency and personal responsibility. Role Overview: This role serves as the Local Office Manager of a DFR office and manages the dissemination of assignments to subordinate staff, delivers consistent coaching and redirection where appropriate and uniformly addresses employee needs without overlapping directives within the same local office. Your role will also be responsible for directing the State Eligibility Manager staff and ensure compliance with routed assignments based on state and federal laws, rules, and regulations regarding public assistance programs.The ideal candidate must serve as a current State Eligibility Manager plus eight (8) years of experience in program coordination, development, implementation, or related experience; plus at least one (1) additional year of administrative, managerial, or supervisory experience. A combination of experience and accredited college training may be considered. The candidate is required to maintain a valid driver's license. Salary Statement: The annual salary for this position traditionally starts at59,800.00but may be commensurate with education or work experience. A Day in the Life: The essential functions of this role are as follows: :Establish and monitor program objectives, KPIs, and actions to achieve them.:Direct, plan, or implement policies, objectives, or activities of organizations or businesses to ensure continuing operations, or to increase productivity.:Interpret and explain policies, rules, regulations, or laws to organizations, government or corporate officials, or individuals.:Recommend and implement corrective action plans to solve program problems.:Prepare reports for approval, including those for funding or implementation of services.:Direct or coordinate the financial or budget activities to fund operations, maximize investments, or increase efficiency in the specified program.:Ensure program requirements meet federal and state policies and grants compliance.:Develop, train employees or agency consultants on program requirements and usage.:Coordinate and deliver communication plans and communications.:Serve on boards of directors and management committees.:Serve on management committees or other governing boards.:Recruit, select, onboard, and train employees to ensure role responsibilities and expectations are clearly understood while providing opportunities to continue professional development.:Set expectations, measure progress, provide ongoing feedback,
