The ideal candidate will provide high-quality legal and consulting services to higher educational institutions in North Carolina and nationwide, specializing in areas such as Title IX, faculty employment, student and academic affairs, and athletics. Job Duties:Provide legal counsel and consulting services to higher educational institutions.Specialize in areas such as Title IX, faculty employment, student and academic affairs, and athletics.Conduct legal research and analysis.Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, policies, and agreements.Represent clients in negotiations, hearings, and litigation proceedings.Collaborate with clients and colleagues to develop strategies and solutions.Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and best practices in higher education law. Requirements:3-6 years of general litigation experience with a focus on Higher Education.Strong desire to learn and specialize in the Higher Education practice area.Exceptional written and oral communication skills.Excellent academic credentials.Licensed in North Carolina or ability to become immediately licensed. Education:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications:Licensed to practice law in North Carolina or ability to become licensed. Skills:Strong desire to specialize in Higher Education law.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Legal research and analysis skills.Drafting and reviewing legal documents.Negotiation and advocacy skills.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
